eBay VINTAGE THOMAS HERRMANN GOLD VERMEIL PURPLE NYLON DROP STYLE ARTISAN EARRINGS These are vintage, uniquely designed drop or dangle style, artisan earrings made in an unusual shape and style. They are of a very fine quality and are made of are sterling silver and yellow gold (gold plating over sterling silver) vermeil. The really unique thing about these is they are wrapped with purple nylon filament line. Really unique and beautiful. The earrings are both marked “STERLING”, but the marks are faint and weren’t easy to photograph. The earrings in my photos are the actual ones you will receive. Please be sure to read the “Age & Condition” paragraphs below. I want to be clear that I am not an expert on jewelry. I have purchased many pieces of high quality fine jewelry like these earrings over the years for my personal use and am in the process of selling off some of the pieces that I don’t often wear anymore. I have not had the earrings tested or examined by a jeweler and I am stating what I honestly believe to be true about these earrings based on information I received from the gallery at the time I bought them. I always tried to buy from what I believed to be reputable sources and have enjoyed these pieces immensely over the years. Please Note: These earrings are made for pierced ears only. These are extremely high quality stunning pieces of fine jewelry! I purchased these earrings new in 1995 and a note I had with my receipt showed the artist as Thomas Herrman, but I have no further information about him. As is the case with all of my fine jewelry the earrings have been well cared for since then in my smoke free home. I do my best to describe all items as accurately as possible and to the best of my ability. Some of my photos may be somewhat lighter or darker than actual to better show detail or color. The earrings are in excellent to mint original condition. Please look closely at the photos as they are an important part of my description of this item. I see nothing to mention in the way of flaws except for possibly a bit of tarnish to the metal. They are beautiful and ready to wear. Please keep in mind these photos may be blown up at least 8-10 times normal, so anything you see will look 8-10 times larger in the photos than it really is. Please note: if you see a dark spot in the photos it is from my camera and is not a mark on the piece. It will be either just to the right of center towards the bottom or slightly above center on the right side of the photo. Approximate Dimensions Each earring is about 1.75” (4.4 cm) top to bottom including the ear wires by about .5” (1.3 cm) left to right at the widest point.
