A Pine Valley Models Exclusive – since 2017. ***Dozens of sets sold, thanks for your continued patronage!*** Up for bid are x10 HO scale sized clear headlight lens glazing tubes made for replacement cab headlight lenses (multiple lots may be available). Made from special clear tubing, they are each rounded and buffed at both ends to allow clear light transmission. They are inserted from the outside, with the larger rounded end facing outwards. Lens tube may be slightly undersized for hole, so simply dab a bit of white glue inside the headlight opening, insert headlight, let dry and presto! Included are 10 clear headlight lenses, intended to be enough to do 2 models (4 lenses each for headlights) with two extras or for other models. These are intended to fit Athearn “Blue-Box” models such as their GP38-2, SD40-2, GP7/9, etc, with the dual beam headlights, but may also fit other manufacturer’s models (Atlas, Proto 2000, etc) depending on headlight sizing. Note that due to headlight opening sizes differing from model to model and brand to brand, they are not guaranteed to fit all models, but slightly enlarging the hole with a drill bit or x-acto knife may assist with a tight fit, or adding glue in the hole may assist with a loose fit. (NOTE: Some Atlas, Proto, and Athearn Genesis models (like the SD70Ace/M-2 and SD75M/I) and certain RTR units (like the SD50/60) have smaller/tighter headlight holes, please see my listing for Athearn Genesis replacement lenses for those as they fit the smaller holes better. A few older Blue-Box locos such as the old GP35 also have smaller lens openings that the Genesis set would fit better in). Usually things arrive in 2 weeks’ time at most US addresses from Ontario (Canada) where purchases are mailed from, but sometimes things can take an additional week or so to arrive depending on postal volume, customs, or if a package is going to the west coast or southern states (longer travel times). For most Canadian addresses, things tend to show up in 1-2 weeks, although it’s often on the longer side for west coast purchases.
