My Tube Amp restoration business keeps me too busy to do my own stuff, with rare exceptions. I have had this since 1964. I was really into electronics and used to go down the the local TV repair store and talk with the owner. He was pretty good about my stopping by and asking questions. One day I was in his store and a guy brought in this tuner and said it didn’t work and wanted it fixed. It was setting on his shelf for many months and I asked him about it. He said the guy never came back or paid for it so it was for sale. He sold it to me for what the repair bill was(sorry I can’t remember what it was) I used it for probably 30 years. With the built in ant and 9 volt battery it pulled in a bunch of stations and I plugged some high impedance ear phones and listened to it all over. Took it back packing and camping. I found it in a box of chassis and radios I had packed away for many years and remember it just stopped working one day. That is how you are buying it. The case is a little dirty from long term storage, some surface rust on back and pitting on pot metal chrome. Case is metal and the volume control and dial mechanism are free.
