eBay Too fun! Champagne and shimmery vintage Bottega Veneta dressy bag with awesome tassels! I mean, those are some tassels, and, ladies, they’re in perfect shape: no tears, breaks, rips, loss of color/patina, etc. Perfect. Bottega Veneta in its vintage heyday (and, honey, I was there!). This is a great and versatile all-leather dressy shoulder bag that’s surprisingly practical. In my opinion, this bag is perfect two times a year: right now through August, and Christmas/New Year’s. If you’ve got a festive occasion in your near future, this could be the bag! Heaven knows no one else will show up with the same bag…it’ll be just you and all your admirers. Other women are constantly complimenting me on my vintage Bottega Veneta…it’s been such a global juggernaut. And the old stuff is the best stuff! Talk about wearing like iron! This little shoulder bag is a testimony to the long-lasting quality of the Bottega Veneta brand. All the seams are nice and tight. All original; no repairs or alterations. Practically as fresh today as the day I bought it in the downtown Rome location, the shimmery champagne color is perfect for anytime you’re rocking summer sterling silver jewelry, and then silver is such a nice change around the holidays, and this little bag just shouts “festive!” (Hey, I’m “practically as fresh” as I was back then…and maybe one or two alterations; I might be older, but I feel terrific!) The interior boasts the famous (infamous) Bottega Veneta paper label, which so many of us said, to ourselves, to heck with this! and torn it right out, leaving the navy/green Bottega Veneta Made in Italy” cloth label. The interior is composed of a very soft beige felt, and the entire felt interior is flawless, with no stains, pen marks, lipstick marks, spills, marks…oh, right, no marks! The double tassel closure can be open, doubled or knotted, depending. The strap, which I always knotted as you see (and I’m not going to untie it), is in perfect condition. The intrecciato leather is in perfect condition around the bag. The upper leather is a little more delicate, but is in near-perfect condition. There are few tiny dark spots around the bag, and I have to admit they came as a surprise. I saw the photo and said, to myself, Is that a spot? So I grabbed the bag and peered at it from a distance of about a foot. Yup, sure enough, if you have good light, hold the bag steady, and get about a foot away from it, you will see a very few minute and widely scattered dark spots. In fact, the only condition issue worth mentioning is the half-moon on the bottom of the bag, and that just happened. On my watch! I can’t imagine where this bag was to cause a transfer of surface, but it was there. Fortunately, the loss is entirely superficial. So if someone stares up at the bottom of this bag, then and only then would that someone know about the marks. Lordy, who cares? This is a wonderful little vintage Bottega Veneta bag. I had many wonderful adventures with it. You will, too.
