THE CLOCK AND WATCH STORE Click images to enlarge Description Maker: Gruen Watch Company c.1955 Model: 422 R SS Condition: This is a vintage Gruen Precision Veri-Thin 17 jewel 422 R SS caliber wristwatch movement assembly for watch repair parts. The movement is not running but it has a good balance staff and there is no wobble to the balance wheel. It will take off running with gentle pressure applied to the sweep seconds drive gear so, a routine overhauling is probably all it needs. It has a military style dial with a split seconds track on the outside, and old radium style numbers that have completely worn off exposing the gilt gold color underneath. The original hands also have the radium centers that have lost the radium. It is missing the screw on the ratchet wheel but it doesn’t appear to be loose or ready to pop out. I take great care in packing all the items being sold but, take extra precautions when packing clocks. I do everything I can to prevent your clock arriving damaged. Due to rising costs and some areas no longer being the rates they used to be, I no longer will offer large wall clocks with free shipping. If the clock appears very expensive for S&H, please inquire BEFORE making the purchase and I will check the accuracy of eBay’s shipping calculator per your location.
