Since it was “in his blood” he also took his skills home with him and did “shade tree” work for his neighbors and friends. Over the course of his long career in the automotive industry he collected a massive inventory of special tools and NOS vintage parts. A few years ago we were able to purchase his collection and are delighted to be offering them to the eBay community. You will quickly notice the quality and condition of the items. He purchased only first quality tools and the best brands of parts. His inventory included a lot of Chevrolet parts, some Mopar items and a few Ford products. Literally, the inventory likely includes over ten thousand parts! The amazing thing about his collection was the vast amount of unique tools (Specialty tools, dealership tools, one of a kind items, discontinued tools, etc.). Visit our store to see a very small sampling of the massive collection. Description: This sale is for one AC Delco Air Conditioner Tools with part # 15-9470. Catalog Title: On page 95 of the factory AC Delco catalog from March 1980 this is identified as a “Clutch Hub & Shoe Installing Adapter” tool under the sub category of Universal Clutch Hub & Bearing Tools-Vise Method and is to be used as a team with the 15-9458 GM Clutch installer. Condition: Although this tool is no longer in the original factory package it is believed to be an NOS item or perhaps slightly used at best. Dimensions: The outside diameter of the bushing is 1.142″ and the inside diameter of the hole is .575″ and the tool is .482″ thick. Shipping: We use the USPS flat rate packages for most of our items. There was a Cadillac LaSalle, some Ford Mustangs, a sweet 1953 MG-TD, several Corvettes, a few pickups, and even a 1926 Studebaker! This diversified experience has included owning approximately 150 cars in the last forty-three years! Within the last twenty years it has been my pleasure to concentrate more on collectible parts as I have personally witnessed how hard it is to find good quality, original parts for a vintage car. My travels have taken me to swap meets at Carlisle, Hershey, Charlotte, Indianapolis, Chicago, Moultrie, Louisville, etc. where I have built a relationship with other car hobby enthusiasts as a fair and reputable buyer and seller.
